Established Fencing Contractors in Newcastle
We provide fence installation, replacement and repairs for homes and businesses across Newcastle, Gateshead, South Shields and nearby areas. With over a decade of experience, we help customers choose fencing that suits their property, practical needs and budget.
Our
fence installation
service covers new garden boundaries and replacement fencing, including closeboard, picket and decorative trellis designs. We can discuss privacy, height, materials and gate access, along with ground levels and the condition of any existing posts.
If your fence has damaged panels, leaning posts or loose boards, our
fence repair service starts with assessing the affected section. We’ll explain whether a repair is practical or whether replacement would be the better option. We also install garden gates and provide fencing for commercial premises.

Recent Projects
Timber Picket Fencing (Gateshead)

We installed timber picket fencing around this Gateshead garden, following the boundary beside the lawn and established planting. The spaced vertical pales define the garden without creating a solid screen, allowing views and light through the fence.
The photograph shows the supporting horizontal rails on the garden-facing side, with timber posts at intervals along the run. The layout returns around the garden’s corners to create a consistent boundary.
Construction details: Rounded-top timber pickets, open spacing between pales, horizontal support rails and timber posts.
Trellis-Topped Fencing with Concrete Posts (Newcastle)

We installed timber fencing with square trellis tops along this Newcastle garden boundary. The solid vertical boards provide privacy at garden level, while the open lattice allows light through above and breaks up the appearance of the long fence run.
Concrete posts support the panels, with concrete gravel boards along the base to separate the timber from the soil. The finished boundary provides a consistent backdrop to the established trees and planting.
Construction details: Vertical timber boards, square lattice trellis tops, concrete posts and concrete gravel boards.
Omega Trellis Garden Fencing (Newcastle)

This Newcastle project features a decorative omega trellis panel beside a paved garden area. Horizontal timber boards form the solid lower section, topped with diamond lattice framed by a curved upper rail.
The panel screens the adjoining seating area while retaining an open feel at the top. Timber posts support the panel, and its natural wood finish complements the surrounding lawn and planting.

Closeboard Boundary Fencing (Tynemouth)

This customer wanted closeboard fencing around his Tynemouth garden, creating a solid boundary along the side and rear of the outdoor space. Overlapping vertical feather edge boards provide privacy, with the fence returning around the corners to enclose the garden.
The natural timber finish gives the boundary a consistent appearance against the surrounding trees and greenery. Timber gravel boards run along the base, helping keep the feather edge boards clear of direct soil contact.
Construction details: Overlapping vertical feather edge boards, timber gravel boards and corner returns along the garden boundary.
Customer Reviews
“After the last few years of harsh winters, our old fence had begun to show signs of wear and tear. Newcastle Fencing was the first fencing contractor we called who answered and came round the same day! We're delighted with the results. The installation process was smooth, and they left the area really tidy.”
Tamara Cooper, Newcastle

"Dealing with accidental damage to our fence was stressful, but these lads were brilliant. We were worried about the safety of our pets and children and they came round within the day to secure it with a temporary fix. They were round the following week to install a new one. We're grateful for their swift response and excellent workmanship."
